In a place called Dogs Ear, a man tries to write a letter. Behind him lies his painful family history. Ahead of him waits his work as a journalist in a small Andean town that was ruined in the eighties, Perus darkest years. During his time in Dogs Ear, the narrator and protagonist finds himself confronted by a series of ghostly characters, which emerge from the past and judge him. Incapable of writing the letter, or of making any decision, he wanders through a world from which he feels more and more distanced, with the sensation of needing to resolve an enigma but without knowing where to begin.
